HOT HOT HOT

I guess summer is here. It's already easily touching 35c now. So fucking hot can? Even walking to uni can kill me. The sun really burns. I really can't imagine when it gets to the "peak" heard that this year might be worst than last year.

Time to pack my jackets and buy shorts & shit loads of sunblock. So lucky to have air cond where I'm staying. Pity my friends who doesn't have one where they stay. They have to sleep buck naked!

Ah well, more updates once I'm done with my project. Study life coming to an end!

Wes Mason Photography

First of all thx to WY for sharing the link to me.

Much like myself, Wes Mason is a graphic designer with a passion for photography. It goes without saying that he takes beautiful pictures. You can see his creativity working in his pictures.

A very interesting thing I found in his blog is how he DIY a tent light to make a ring light for his camera. VERY COOL. I'm so gonna try it out myself.

Anyways check out his blog here: wesmasonphoto.blogspot.com/

10.10

Spring is here, the sun is shining brightly and the temperature is rising. Well at least during the day it is. It's still pretty cold at night. Guess this is the time where we experience Melbourne's "unique" weather. All four seasons in a day. Really a bitch to decide what to wear since it's hot during the day and cold at night.

The end of the year is upon us. It marks many things, the completion of my studies and probably the end of my life in Australia, unless I manage to land a job. I'll definitely try but to be honest I'm not that optimistic about it since the creative field is not exactly a field that's lacking of talent. Especially when Melbourne is such an arty farty place. I reckon that it won't be easy even for locals to secure a job in this field.

Anyways here are some pix taken over the weekend. Went out with only my 50mm portrait lens. So I had to take pix differently from how I'm usually used to because of its limitations.

Great Ocean Road

Finally went to the Great Ocean Road. Although it was a long and winding way there, the sight was something extraordinary. The rain clouds were practically moving the same route as us, so we were constantly being showered.

Sanmon Gossip Review

gungrave

Shiina Ringo released a new album a few months ago. Finally remembered and had a chance to give it a listen. Sanmon Gossip is the title, it translates to Superficial Gossip. Here's the track listing:

1.Ryūkō (vogue)

2.Rōdōsha (blue collar)

3.Zero Chiten Kara (original intention)

4.Mittei Monogatari (clandestine)

5.Karisome Otome (temporary virgin)

6.Tsugō no Ii Karada (the leading hitter)

7.Shun (season)

8.Futari-bocchi Jikan (just the two of us)

9.Mayakashi Yasaotoko (fake fellow)

10.Togatta Teguchi (sharp practice)

11.Irokoizata (excitement)

12.Bonsai Hada (ordinary ability)

13.Yokyō (alone)

14.Marunouchi Sadistic (Marunouchi Sadistic (Expo Ver.)

The title in the bracket are the official English titles. I realized they're not the exact translation of the Japanese title.

The albums starts off with the more jazzy and upbeat tunes that makes listeners want to tap their feet to the beat. Nothing as epic as their previous SUPER EPIC hits I have to say but they're nice nonetheless.

If you're a Shiina Ringo fan, I'm sure you can hear some slight similarity with their previous songs.

However once the album hits track 9 (fake fellow), the songs are more to my liking. My favorite track would be Togatta Teguchi (Sharp Practise), I liked it on my first listen. Must be the slight dance-ish feel to the track.

Sanmon Gossip is a definite must have for all Shiina Ringo fans. It debuted at # 1 according to wikipedia. I rate it a cool 8.5/10

Here are some MVs I found on youtube:

Artistic sexy video. Mmm....

More mainstream looking vid.

Tell me I'm not the only one that is reminded of Byork when you watch this.

This isn't the version from the album but I think she just look absolutely gorgeous in her red dress and hat.

I'd pay any amount to watch them play live!!!
